Section 1.00 - General Introduction

Welcome to the Calgary Ground Pilots (CGP).  

This site was created for the purpose of promoting group riding in the Calgary and surrounding area.

This is not a club. There are no fees or dues for membership and there is nothing to sign.  There are no meetings to attend and there is no calling to cancel. We're just here to offer a place for YOU to meet other Calgary riders and share a common passion.  Common courtesy, respect, and safety among others is all we expect.  Although, VIP Packages are available and do help too.  :)

The message board is an area where riders can chat, share information, exchange technical tips and experiences.   Under no circumstances can CGP and or it's representatives be held responsible for any damage or loss whether to yourself or property.  All stunts are performed at your own risk and CGP accepts no responsibility for damages incurred.

Please read the following terms and conditions carefully. By using this Web site, you acknowledge that you have read the following disclaimers and terms and conditions of use and that you accept and will be bound by the terms thereof.  If you do not agree to the terms and conditions of use, do not use this web site. Any use of the web site is at the sole risk of the user.

Section 2.00 - Message Board/Forums

The CGP message board (MB) is provided as a free service to www.groundpilots.com. A few simple things to keep in mind when using the MB whether reading or posting are..

• Section 2.01 - All opinions on the message board are the opinions of the poster, and even though the poster may be a member of the CGP, they are in no way the opinions of CGP as a whole.
• Section 2.02 - The maximum signature graphic allowed is 600(w) x 100(h) pixels. Please keep your personal signature within these limits.
• Section 2.03 - Avatars are to be no larger than 150(w) x 150(h) pixels.  Any avatars with a larger width or height than the 150 limit is subject to removal.  Avatars are also to be of non-pornographic material.
• Section 2.04 - When posting images with the [IMG]tag, the maximum allowed size is 640(w) pixels.  Any images greater than the max 640 pixels should be just linked to.  Attachments should be no greater than 1024 pixels wide.  Any attachments or embedded images that exceed these dimensions will be subject to removal by a CGP moderator or staff member without notice.
• Section 2.05 - All topics/posts are subject to review by the CGP and or it's representatives and could be modified for adult content.  Although, under most circumstances an explanation footnote would be added to explain the modification and reasoning this is not mandatory.  Under no circumstances can the CGP and or it's representatives be held responsible for liability regarding these modifications.  Although the CGP may support it's moderators, in no way does the moderators represent CGP as a whole.
• Section 2.06 - Attachments (once uploaded) become property of CGP.  What this means is at any time, some or all attachments may be altered, or deleted.  To save web space the database is pruned from time to time.  We reserve the right to delete user attachments without notice.
• Section 2.07 - No spamming. Posted in one forum?  That's enough, don't post the same post in multiple forums.
• Section 2.08 - No attacking other members on the forums, take it off the site if you must.  An occasional joke is ok - it's the downright nasty fights we want to keep off of CGP.  It is understood that people will have different opinions, but like any community we should strive to understand the differences between us and do so in a manner that is both proper and non-threatening.
• Section 2.09 - You can't reply in the For Sale forums (motorcycle related) except to bump your own thread.  This works for EBAY and the CMRA (along with the 'Buy & Sell') so it should work okay here.  This will also help the moderators keep the crap out.  This will also insure users include ALL important info when posting ads.
• Section 2.10 - Only one (1) user acct per person.  If during our random checks we find a user having multiple accts we may, without notice suspend, ban, or delete some or all of the accts in question without notice.  We will 'usually try' to send an email or private message to rectify the problem before it comes to this.

Section 2.20
NO PORN!  Any graphic images that might be considered 'Not Work Safe' should have a NWS tag in the title or description.

Section 2.21 - Please note that GroundPilots.com is visited by minors, families and general public. Avatars, signature images, posted images, and topic content are requested to be non-offensive and not of the "graphic" nature. CGP staff/moderators reserve the right to corrective action in case we feel an image is inappropriate.  Avatars, signatures, posted images, and topic content may be edited or removed without warning.  We will try to send a PM of notification however this is not possible all the time.

Section 2.22 - Not abiding by ANY of the terms of use listed in this document may warrant a temporary or permanent ban, with or without warning. We will try to give at least one warning before banning a user.

We don't have a lot of rules, but the few we do have we hope are respected by all members of the CGP Message Board.

Section 4.20
We reserved the right to add to or otherwise change or modify these Terms and Notices at any time.  It is your responsibility to review these Terms and Notices periodically for the current form.  Your continued use of the www.groundpilots.com  or affiliated sites constitutes assent to any additions, changes or other modifications made, once posted.

Section 5.00 - Advertising

Section 5.10
Advertising of motorcycle related items are prohibited by anyone that is not a VIP Member.  This includes user's signatures also.  As a VIP Member you are allowed to post for sale ads for others, howver you MUST be the contact for the ad.  At that time you can pass details of the seller onto the interested party. Privledges can be revoked by a moderator for abuse of this if the same person is using their privleges to post ads for many other non-VIP users.

Section 5.20
Any user advertising with their signature, will be warned once, then blocked for two weeks, pending a ban.  CGP's costs are real, and the people that pay to become a VIP Member make the effort to help sponsor the site and get their ads up , need to have that level of exclusiveness. 

Section 5.30
You can still link to your personal site, favorite links, what have you, but no bike related ads.  Only approved sponsors and VIP Members are allowed. 

Section 5.40
Commercial Advertising on CGP is prohibited, the exception to this is approved sponsors or paid advertisers.

Section 6.00 - Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability

Section 6.10
The CGP make no representations regarding the suitability of the information contained in the documents and related graphics and/or videos published on this server for any purpose.  All such information, documents, graphics, or videos are provided "AS IS" without warranty of any kind and are subject to change without notice.  The entire risk arising out of their use remains with the recipient.

Section 6.20
In no event shall CGP or it’s individual Members be liable for any direct, consequential, incidental, special, punitive, or other damages whatsoever.  Including, without limitation: damages for loss of business profits, business interruption, or loss of business information, even if the CGP has been warned of the possibility of such damages.

Section 6.30
The Calgary Ground Pilots does not organize or sponsor rides, nor is the CGP and or it's representatives liable for the actions or attitudes in which a CGP Member displays while out riding or on the forums.

Section 6.40
THIS WEB SITE AND THE INFORMATION, SERVICES, PRODUCTS AND MATERIALS CONTAINED ON THIS WEB SITE ARE PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" BASIS WITH NO WARRANTY. CALGARY GROUND PILOTS DISCLAIMS ALL REPRESENTATIONS AND WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, AS TO THE OPERATION OF THE WEB SITE AND THE INFORMATION, SERVICES, PRODUCTS AND MATERIALS ON THIS WEB SITE, TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW. Linked sites are not under the control of the CGP and the CGP is not responsible for the contents of any linked site.  The CGP provides links to you only as a convenience, and the inclusion of any link does not imply the endorsement by the CGP of the site.  Such Web sites are not investigated, monitored or checked for accuracy or completeness by CGP.

Any links on this web site to web sites operated by third parties are provided for your convenience only. We are not responsible for the content and performance of these web sites or for your transactions with them and our inclusion of links to such web sites does not imply any endorsement of the material on such web sites.

Section 8.00 - Content

Section 8.10
The CGP offers a wide selection and variety of content to our Members and/or users.  Content, including but not limited to message boards, may contain profanity or otherwise inappropriate or offensive material for children or other members and/or users.  Members and/or users must evaluate and bear the risk associated with the use of the CGP and its affiliated sites.  Some content may display activity that may be illegal on public roads/highways.  Discretion is suggested and CGP accepts no responsibility for such activity.

Section 8.20
The CGP believes that parents should supervise their children’s on-line activities and consider using parental control tools available to help provide an appropriate on-line environment for their children.

Section 8.30
Pictures and videos contained on this web site are property of Calgary Ground Pilots and CAN NOT be used without written or verbal consent from CGP staff.  Please note that we reserve the right to change, alter or remove any or all images or videos at our discretion.

Section 8.40
Although all topics/posts are the opinion of the individual poster, the CGP and or it's representatives does have the right to modify/delete any topics/posts for any reason, without warning.
